Israel will become a full strategic partner with NATO by 2010. The problems with Israel and NATO as a “Partnership”

Although many heavy hands are pushing for a strengthened “Partnership” with NATO this is as far as it gets under the old NATO. With no case against Iran and pressure from Israeli’s to not become a “full member” under the current NATO ideals, the old NATO is putting on its walking shoes and heading out the door. But what characterizes a partnership from say a marriage?

Well for starters, “no accountability” of ones actions. How many jilted spouses have seen their lover go off on a tirade to find itself naked in bed with someone it doesn’t really know and then have to send apologies and flowers to fall back in favor with the family. Is this the kind of partnership Israel wants? Now lets opposite that scenario with a real marriage.

A real member marriage is a covenant before God to uphold all its declarations of faithfulness in sickness and in health till death due us part. All parties adhere to each other’s desires and needs. It’s not one-sided or prone for spontaneous out of body rants and experiences. But is this the real reason Israel does not want to fully marry into NATO?

The real reason is the current NATO is not the type of man to bring home to momma. So the question is what type of man does Israel want in NATO? Does Israel need a stronger man to bring home the oil from Iran, I mean the "bacon". Is NATO not sensitive enough? Is NATO not masculine enough?

In this day in age of modern relationships divorce, infidelity, abuse and death are far too common. Israel should re-think its priorities or it may soon be in a relationship it wished it never started in the first place.
